Movie fans can be grateful that Hungarian-born soldier and bacteriologist Pal Fejos (aka Paul Fejos) settled into a director's chair to deliver this part-silent, part-sound ode to Coney Island on a busy Fourth of July. In the film--which boasts creative color tinting, special effects, and a very mobile camera--two lonely people meet inside the amusement park only to experience acute anxiety after they are sep arated. Glenn Tryon, Barbara Kent star.
