When efforts by the British Royal Navy to develop a state-of-the-art torpedo go fatally awry, the U.S. offers the services of naval scientist Gene Kelly and his staff for their input. The prideful English sailors, however, don't appreciate the presence of the Yanks and the rivalries just might threaten to scuttle the project.
