The Long Night (1947)
Dynamite remake of Marcel Carne's "Le Jour Se Leve" features Henry Fonda as a WWII vet and factory worker who kills magician Vincent Price, then barricades himself in his apartment from the police. In flashbacks, Fonda relives the desperate situation--which involved himself, girlfriend Barbara Bel Geddes, Price and stage assistant Ann Dvorak--that drove him to kill.
