Peter Falk dons the wrinkled raincoat once again, solving crimes as Lt. Columbo in this collection of six "ABC Mystery Movies." First, the sudden disappearance of a magazine mogul leads Columbo to suspect her business partner--who is also her former lover--of murder, in "Columbo Cries Wolf." Ian Buchanan, Rebecca Staab, Deidre Hall co-star. An apparent suicide doesn't have Columbo fooled, leading him to look for an "Agenda for Murder." Patrick McGoohan also stars. The rumpled sleuth learns his wife is in danger from a woman who blames him for the loss of her husband, in "Rest in Peace, Mrs. Columbo." With Helen Shaver, Ian McShane. Columbo goes after a dentist with mounting gambling debt who frames his wife for the murder of her lover, in "Uneasy Lies the Crown." James Read co-stars. A slick gigolo is the prime suspect when Columbo investigates a "Murder in Malibu." With Andrew Stevens, Brenda Vaccaro. And, "Columbo Goes to College," but winds up giving an education in how to solve the murder of a professor who was killed by two disgruntled students. Stephen Caffrey co-stars. 9 1/2 hrs. total.
