Inspired by true events, this darkly comic 19th-century film depicts the final years in the lives of suicidal German writer Heinrich von Kleist (Christian Friedel) and Henrietta Vogel (Birte Schnoeink), the terminally ill woman who agrees to join him in a pact to end their lives together. Having found one another at this critical juncture, Kleist and Vogel embark on a uniquely illuminating journey that questions the nobility of romantic self-destruction. With Stephan Grossmann, Marc Bischoff. 96 min. Widescreen (Enhanced); Soundtrack: German; Subtitles: English. In German with English subtitles.
