A wholesome young Midwesterner (Phyllis Thaxter) finds herself plagued by a second personality, one whose impulses become ever more difficult to control. Fleeing home for New York City, she meets and is soon won over by a young lawyer (Stephen McNally). The happy arrangement, though, can't quell the ever more dangerous manifestations of Thaxter's demon within. Director Arch Oboler adapted a popular episode of his "Lights Out" radio show for his first film; with Edmund Gwenn and an unbilled Audrey Totter as the voice of "Karen." 65 min. Standard; Soundtrack: English Dolby Digital mono.
