The 1969 self-immolation of college student Jan Palach in protest of the Soviet-led invasion of Czechoslovakia serves as the jumping-off point for this fact-based miniseries, which follows attorney Dagmar Buresova (Tatiana Pauhofová) as she takes on the daunting task of representing Palach's family in a lawsuit against the government. While the communist regime attempts to quell a larger rebellion, dissidence only grows, hastening the destruction of the Iron Curtain. With Jaroslava Pokorná, Vojtech Kotek. 4 hrs. on two discs.
