Middle-aged widow Jeanne Dielman (Delphine Seyrig) adds a decidedly unconventional "hobby" to her daily domestic duties by working as a part-time prostitute to better support herself and her young son. This unsparing, idiosyncratic drama from writer/director Chantal Akerman follows Dielman over the course of three days, when she suddenly experiences a harsh break with her normal sense of reality. With Jan Decorte, Henri Storck. 3 1/3 hrs. Widescreen (Enhanced); Soundtrack: French Dolby Digital mono; Subtitles: English; interviews; documentary; bonus short "Saute Ma Ville" (1968). In French with English subtitles. Two-disc set.
