On February 20th, deadmau5 releases the "Meowingtons Hax 2K11 TORONTO" live DVD featuring one of the biggest live shows in electronic music. The concert was filmed at the Rogers Centre in Toronto in front of a sold out hometown crowd and includes performances of deadmau5's biggest hits, plus special unreleased tracks, all accompanied by his infamous mind-blowing visuals. Deadmau5 had yet another record year in 2011 playing his first outdoor UK headline show in June at L.E.D. in Victoria Park, London in front of 20,000 fans. In August he became the first electronic artist to co-headline the annual Lollapalooza festival in the U.S.A. which saw SPIN magazine give him the #1 spot in their '10 Best Sets of Lollapalooza 2011': "The level of spectacle that the Canadian electronic musician / producer commands is not just beyond any other electronic act, it's beyond any other act period". He went on to sell out 6 consecutive nights at NYC's Roseland Ballroom and 4 consecutive nights at LA's Hollywood Palladium during the Meowingtons Hax 2K11 tour. Deadmau5 recently returned to the U.K. for a spectacular free audio-visual event on the banks of the River Thames at London's Milbank Tower. The skyline was dominated by 400ft 4D immersive projections accompanied by a thumping deadmau5 set. At the prestigious Grammy's deadmau5 recently walked away with no less that 3 Nominations for 'Best Dance/Electronica Album for "4x4=12"', 'Best Dance Recording for "Raise Your Weapon"' and 'Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical for "Rope (Deadmau5 Mix)"'. "Meowingtons Hax 2K11 TORONTO" rounds off a prodigious 12 months for the 'mau5 and showcases exactly why he has been lauded so highly by critics and peers alike.
