Plagued by guilt over the sexual transgressions she undertook to survive during the Holocaust while others around her died, an aging Jewish mother (Jacqueline Bisset) takes out her neurotic aggressions on her two sons (Josh Lucas, Lukas Haas), who have reached adulthood with psychological baggage of their own.
