The girl is Joan Bennett, who stars as the bombshell daughter of a college president in danger of losing his job. Bennett uses her feminine wiles (courtesy of a pre-Code scene involving a wet dress) and the help of pal Joe E. Brown to lure 11 top-flight football players to her father's university in an effort to build a winning team and save dad's job. William Wellman's delightful comedy also stars James Hall, Laura Lee, and members of the 1928 and 1929 All-American football team. AKA: "Maybe It's Love." 72 min. Standard; Soundtrack: English Dolby Digital mono.
