Recently widowed Fereshteh (Niki Karimi) is forced to fight for custody of her children when her fiercely conservative father-in-law decides she should remain in his home and marry his younger son. With the help of her friends, Fereshteh takes the children and goes into hiding. From controversial director Tahmineh Milani, this film from Iran dramatizes the conflict between hard-line forces of tradition and the more progressive values of modernity.
