Shortly before the fall of the Berlin Wall, a young East German dissident is arrested during a protest. His pro-Communist mother, upon seeing her boy incarcerated, suffers a heart attack and slips into a coma. When she awakens months later, her son is told she must avoid shock of any kind, forcing him to go to great─and often hysterical─lengths to keep the recent change in government a secret. Quirky German seriocomedy stars Daniel Brühl, Kathrin Sass, Maria Simon. 121 min. Widescreen (Enhanced); Soundtrack: German Dolby Digital 5.1; Subtitles: English. In German with English subtitles.
