Part documentary, part drama, this production features rare footage from director Henri-Georges Clouzot's "L'Enfer" that had to be scrapped in 1964 when he took ill. The initially big-budget and experimental story─concerning the sexual jealousy of a tortured husband─has gaps that are filled in with modern interviews, re-enactments, and original storyboards. Jacques Gamblin and Bérénice Bejo take over the Se rge Reggiani and Romy Schneider roles for the re-enactments. 102 min.
