NTSC/Region 0. The Men They Couldn't Hang formed in 1984 and were soon going down a storm on the Folk circuit, often compared to the Pogues (and rightly so). They were eventually signed to Demon Records by Elvis Costello, and released a cover of "Green Fields of France" which became a big hit on the alternative chart. As each release heightened their profile, the band went on to record for several labels, including MCA and Silvertone, and became a major draw on the live circuit. The band split in 1991, but reformed a few years later to begin touring and recording again. This DVD features a full show from the band's 1998 UK tour filmed in Newcastle, and contains Independent Chart top ten hits "Ironmasters" and "The Green Fields of France". There is a special bonus footage section, filmed by the band, featuring them at work and play during their 2006 UK tour. Cherry Red.
