First, "The Lion Who Thought He Was People" (1971) tells the true story of Christian, a lion cub bought by two Australian men at Harrods department store and raised in their flat. From there the cub was introduced to wildlife conservationist George Adamson of "Born Free" fame and eventually trained to live alongside other lions in the wilds of Kenya. Actors Bill Travers (who also directed) and Virginia McKenna also appear. AKA: "The Lion At World's End," "Christian The Lion." Then, "Poco" (1977) is an adorable little pooch separated from his master and lost in the woods in this animated tale. Chill Wills, Michelle Ashburn, and John Steadman supply the voices. Three-disc set also includes "Adventures Of Gallant Bess," "My Dog Shep," "The Big Cat," "The Painted Hills," "George!," "The Red Fury," "Wind Dancer," "A Dog's Tale," "Finn On The Fly," "Wildfire: The Arabian Heart." 17 hrs. total.
