Scandal erupts in a Swiss boarding school when a student's note professing her crush on the headmaster is discovered in the melodrama "Girls' Dormitory." Simone Simon (her first American role), Herbert Marshall, Ruth Chatterton, and a young Tyrone Power, as a handsome count, star. Next, a bankrupt Paris restaurateur (Adolphe Menjou) convinces an indebted American patron (Power) to pose as a Russian prince, then woo a pretty heiress (Loretta Young) and gain the funds to keep "Cafe Metropole" open. 149 min. total.
