Bipolar cello instructor Alan Cumming (who also directs) becomes obsessed with writer David Boreanaz, a young man he has taken in as a boarder. As the ambitious scribe struggles to complete his novel, his unbalanced landlord takes complete leave of his sanity, resulting in a bizarre turn of events that places Cumming in charge of ushering Boreanaz's work into the world.
