Sam Peckinpah's directorial debut, "The Deadly Companions" (1961) concerns an ex-soldier/gunslinger who makes amends to the man he accidentally killed by guiding the funeral party through Apache country. Maureen O'Hara, Brian Keith star. Marlon Brando directs and stars in "One-Eyed Jacks" (1961), about an outlaw who escapes from prison to exact vengeance upon his one-time partner. "The Over-The-Hill Gang" (1969) stars Pat O'Brien as a Texas Ranger who enlists three of his old pals to help the residents of a small town run by a corrupt mayor, a drunk and a quick-shooting sheriff. Walter Brennan, Andy Devine, Edgar Buchanan, Ricky Nelson, Chill Wills star.
