This Emmy-award winning TV miniseries, taken from Dominick Dunne's novel and loosely based on true events, stars Ann-Margret and Claudette Colbert (in her final role) as the title characters. The two women become tied together in infamy forever when Ann-Margret marries Colbert's affluent son--much to Colbert's dismay--and then "accidentally" shoots him. However, Colbert decides to protect the widow rather than expose the family to scandal. 190 min. total on two discs. Standard; Soundtrack: English Dolby Digital mono.
