Kaufman's 1926 stage play "The Butter and Egg Man," this rollicking musical produced by Sammy Cahn follows three sailors whose dreams of Broadway glory are unwisely hitched to the wagon of a show hustled by promoter Sam Levene. Their fortunes turn after they take the stage with the sparkling Jane Powell. Songs include "Face to Face," "Home Is Where the Heart Is," "When It's Love," and others.
