After a hostile reception greets the 1913 Paris premiere of "The Rite of Spring" by Igor Stravinsky (Mads Mikkelsen), the deflated composer is drawn, years later, into a love affair with fashion designer Coco Chanel (Anna Mouglalis), one of the work's few admirers. As he and his family remain as guests on her estate, Stravinsky tries to regain inspiration while Chanel is spurred on to her own greatness.
