The character of Billy Jack was first introduced in the wild biker flick "Born Losers" (1967), with Tom Laughlin helping a young dropout (Elizabeth James) break free from a vicious gang. Laughlin is back as pacifist Native American martial arts expert Billy in the powerhouse drama "The Trial Of Billy Jack" (1974).
