Discovered in an Oregon collector's home in 1995 and painstakingly restored, this silent Shakespeare drama was the first full-length filming of the Bard's works and is now the oldest surviving American feature. Stage star Frederick Warde plays the title malformed monarch, whose murderous thirst for power leads to his own downfall. Robert Gemp, James Keane also star. Includes color-tinted sequences and a new score by composer Ennio Morricone. 59 min. Standard; Soundtrack: Dolby Digital stereo music score; featurette; documentary. Silent with music score.
