Director Volker Schlondorff tells the story of a murderous member (Bibiana Beglau) of a socialist group of terrorists in West Germany during the last years of the Cold War. After the group breaks up, she decides to move to East Germany, where she tries to adapt to a meager socialist life. However, when the Berlin Wall comes down and her true identity is revealed, she runs the risk of being extradited for punishment. 101 min.
