Don't Knock The Rock (1956)
A chart-topping rock-'n'-roll singer (Alan Dale) returns to his hometown for a show and learns that he and his bandmates have been branded "bad influences" by the mayor and banned from performing. With help from DJ Alan Freed (portraying himself) and such acts as Bill Haley and His Comets, The Treniers, Little Richard, and The Applejacks, Dale proves that rock ain't so bad after all! Patricia Hardy, George Cisar also star. Songs include "Tutti Frutti," "Long Tall Sally," "Rip It Up." 85 min.
