Intending to follow and profile activist Fred Hampton for a documentary about the Illinois Black Panther Party, filmmakers Mike Gray and Howard Alk found themselves with an altogether more incendiary chronicle after deputy chairman Hampton was shot to death by Chicago police in 1969. The bloody raid was later revealed to be less an act of self-defense by the police than a summary execution. 88 min. Standard; Soundtrack: English.
