The passing of his wife and the loss of his job prompts a Russian engineer (Igor Csernyevics) to take his son (Gleb Puskepalis) on a long trip from Moscow to his sister's home in the resort town of Koktebel. The journey, however, only increases the tension between parent and child when it appears the father has fallen in love with a beautiful woman he meets en route.
