Set in 1920s Ireland, director Ken Loach's drama follows the riveting story of Damien (Cillian Murphy), a young Irish doctor planning to leave his homeland for a post in London. After witnessing a brutal crackdown by British soldiers, Damien decides to join the IRA, which pleases his brother (Padraic Delaney), an ardent activist. Their common cause, however, soon pits them against each other. Liam Cunningham, William Ruane also star. 127 min.
