An American hustler (Robert Arden) is hired by the title tycoon (Orson Welles) to research the past that amnesia has robbed him of. But as the con man digs deeper into Mr. Arkadin's sordid life, he realizes his own life is in jeopardy. Rarely seen "Citizen Kane"-like thriller, written and directed by Welles, also stars Michael Redgrave, Akim Tamiroff, Patricia Medina.
