Adapted from Lula Vollmer's Broadway play "Trigger," this romantic drama is marked by the offbeat casting of Katharine Hepburn as Ozark mountain faith healer Trigger Hicks. As Trigger is accused of witchcraft after laying her "healing" hands on a baby, she also finds herself courted by two engineers (Ralph Bellamy and Robert Young) who've come to her backwoods home to supervise the building of a dam.
