Loosely based on Franz Lehar's operetta, this lavish silent drama focuses on a wealthy prince (John Gilbert) who's forbidden from marrying a beautiful American dancer (Mae Murray) due to her lack of royal blood. He leaves her at the altar, driving the dancer into the arms of an aging baron. But when they meet up a year later, will they find their love has endured?
