The Sabata Trilogy
The stylish and action-packed spaghetti Western classic "Sabata" (1969) stars Lee Van Cleef as a gunslinger-for-hire who recruits a travelling musician with a rifle-rigged banjo and a drunken knife thrower to help retrieve a stash of U.S. Army gold. Next, Yul Brynner takes over as the eagle-eyed antihero in the sequel "Adios Sabata" (1971), originally conceived as an unrelated film about a gunman named Indio Black. This time, Brynner's Sabata is tapped by a Mexican revolutionary to hijack a wagon carrying a vast treasure. Dean Reed, Spalla also star.
