Richard Roundtree's the streetwise private dick "Shaft" (1971), who's hired to track down a Harlem ganglord's kidnapped daughter before New York erupts into a gang war zone. Then, a friend's murder leads streetwise private eye John Shaft (Roundtree) into the middle of a bloody mob feud, in "Shaft's Big Score" (1972). With Gunn, Julius Harris, Drew Bundini Brown, Kathy Imrie. And, Shaft (Roundtree) goes undercover in the "mother country" to bring down a modern-day slave ring, in "Shaft In Africa" (1973).
