Buster Keaton Double Header: The Railrodder (1965)/The Silent Partner (1955)

Format:  Buster Keaton Double Header: The Railrodder (1965)/The Silent Partner (1955) DVD

Stoic funnyman Buster Keaton shines in two rarely seen efforts. The National Film Board of Canada short comedy "The Railrodder" takes Buster on a slapstick coast-to-coast ride across the Great White North on a motorized handcar and features his trademark stunt work. Then, a more serious Keaton plays a once-famous silent comic who watches the Academy Awards on TV in a Hollywood diner in "The Silent Partner," an episode of the "Screen Directors Playhouse" series. Joe E. Brown, ZaSu Pitts, and Bob Hope as himself co-star. 50 min. total. Standard; Soundtrack: English.
