Horror veteran Ulli Lommel ("The Boogeyman") writes and directs this ripped-from-the-headlines shocker, retelling the gruesome saga of Kansas serial killer Dennis Rader (Gerard Griesbaum). Rader's preferred homicidal style--binding, torturing, and then killing his victims--leads him to adopt the macabre sobriquet "the B.T.K. Killer." The film explores the inner workings of the crazed murderer's psyche, as Rader's reign of terror resumes in 2004 after law enforcement fails to trap him during a three-decade manhunt.
