Estranged from his parents, sensitive 18-year-old Pip is forced to live on the streets while trying to cope with his feelings for his recently deceased brother. Idling away his days hanging out with a gay hustler, getting advice from a priest and having an affair with an attractive social worker, he attempts to sort out his life. But when he begins listening to tapes his late grandfather left him about his World War II experiences (shown in flashback), Pip gains insight that helps him heal. With Paul Anthony, Clarence Sponagle, Alan Cumming, Brendan Fletcher, and the voice of Ian McKellen. 105 min.
