First, loosely based on "The Jazz Singer," the drama/musical "Broken Strings" concerns a classical violinist whose life is turned upside down when he loses partial use of his left hand. While trying to adjust to the disability, he becomes upset when his swing-loving son decides not to follow in his footsteps. Clarence Muse, Sybil Lewis, William Washington star.
