With help from DJ Alan Freed (portraying himself) and such acts as Bill Haley and His Comets, The Treniers, Little Richard, and The Applejacks, he proves that rock ain't so bad after all! Then, in "Rock Around the Clock," a frustrated big band promoter becomes the manager for Bill Haley and His Comets and proceeds to introduce them--and rock and roll music--to the world.
