Based on Elizabeth Gaskell's industrial novel, this British-made miniseries tells the Victorian-era love story between strong-willed young woman Margaret Hale (Rosalie Shanks)--just moved to a manufacturing town in northern England--and tough-minded mill owner John Thornton (Patrick Stewart).
