Professional musician and teacher Talc Tolchin advocates theory and ear training over note reading. This series of six tapes covers all the basics you'll need to get started on the keyboard, figure out tunes by ear, and write and produce your own songs. Talc covers standard blues progressions as well as some of his own, and teaches you to improvise so you feel like a musician jamming with him throughout the tapes. Volume IV is an intermediate-level tape and moves faster than the first three volumes. However, the chords build on the information from the prior three tapes. By following the exercises on this tape, you will gain strength, speed, dexterity, and greater confidence in your hands' ability to execute the musical lines and chords you hear.
