The Producers

A movie version of a stage musical based on a movie about a stage musical. Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick reprise their Broadway roles of washed-up producer Max Bialystock and meek numbers-cruncher Leo Bloom, who hatch a scheme to mount an expensive stageshow entitled "Springtime for Hitler" that's sure to bomb, allowing them to abscond with the surplus budget.
