The Reckoning

Enthralling mystery, set in the 14th century, about a priest, Nicholas (Paul Bettany), who joins a group of traveling actors after he’s exiled for breaking his vow of chastity. When they end up in a town where a mute woman is accused of killing a young boy, the troupe decides to write a play based on the case. As they dig deeper into the facts, they begin to question the woman’s guilt, giving Nicholas a chance to prove her innocence and redeem himself.
