Willy DeVille first came to prominence with the band Mink DeVille in the late seventies and early eighties, who had huge success with the song Spanish Stroll and built a strong following in both the US and Europe. In the late eighties he went solo and received an Oscar nomination for his song Storybook Love, a collaboration with Mark Knopfler of Dire Straits. He continued to record and perform despite personal tragedies up until his death from cancer in 2009. This concert was filmed in high definition at the Paradiso in Amsterdam in 2005 on the tour for his album Crow Jane Alley and features a typically diverse collection of songs from across his career delivered with Willy's instantly recognizable voice and charisma. The songs he wrote were original, romantic and straight from the heart Mark Knopfler.
