After being entrusted with crucial intel regarding the D-Day invasion, American intelligence officer Jefferson Pike (James Garner) wakes up in an Army hospital, where sympathetic psychiatrist Walter Gerber (Rod Taylor) informs him he’d been comatose for six years.
