American journalist Shania Dhaliwal (Nargis Fakhri, Spy) is sent to India to cover the colorful vibrancy of Indian weddings by her supervisor Claudia Burell (Candy Clark, Zodiac). As she attends these traditional ceremonies, she decides to delve more into the untold story of the life of hijras, a sect of transgender dancers who have been an integral part of Indian weddings for centuries.
