In 1870s London, affluent Margaret (Anna Madeley) seeks to work through her grief over the loss of her father by offering counsel at a women's prison. She finds herself swept up in an immediate attraction to the inmate Selina (Zoë Tapper), convicted for fraudulently claiming to be a medium.
