Airport (1970)

Taut adaptation of Arthur Hailey’s novel about a snowbound Chicago airport that must prepare for the arrival of a Boeing 707 passenger plane that’s been damaged by a suicide bomber. Burt Lancaster stars as the airport manager who leads a desperate scramble to clear the runway in time for the emergency landing, and Dean Martin is the veteran pilot who has his hands full in the air. Airport 1975 (1974)
