"Good evening, ladies and gentlemen." The Master of Suspense hosted, executive produced and occasionally directed episodes of this popular mystery anthology series that ran on CBS (and later NBC) from 1955-1962. The show, which was known for Hitchcock's wryly funny wrap-around segments, featured the work of directors Robert Altman and Arthur Hiller, writers Ray Bradbury and Roald Dahl, and such future stars as Steve McQueen, Robert Redford and Charles Bronson.
