The Master of Suspense hosted, executive produced and occasionally directed episodes of this popular mystery anthology series that ran on CBS (and later NBC) from 1955-1962. The show, which was known for Hitchcock's wryly funny wrap-around segments, featured the work of directors Robert Altman and Arthur Hiller, writers Ray Bradbury and Roald Dahl, and such future stars as Steve McQueen, Robert Redford and Charles Bronson.
